This 1966 Plymouth Satellite was modified in California before moving to New Hampshire in 2015, where it was recently acquired by the selling dealer. The car has been refinished in purple with black accents over a black vinyl interior, and power is provided by a Mopar 440ci V8 paired with a Torqueflite automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15″ Cragar wheels, a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, power-assisted Wilwood front disc brakes, a custom exhaust system, an AM radio, and more. This Satellite is now offered with partial service records and a clean New Hampshire title.
Finished from the factory in silver, the body was refinished in its current shade of purple with a black roof, C-pillar, and aftermarket hood with a scoop. Additional equipment includes hood pins, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. The selling dealer notes a paint imperfection on the rear panel behind the bumper.
Polished Cragar 15″ SS wheels are fitted with Hankook Optimo 724 tires in the front and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires in the rear. Wilwood power-assisted front disc brakes with slotted rotors have been added.
The interior was reupholstered in black vinyl with matching panels and carpets by Finish Line Auto Interiors of Santa Clara, California in 2008. Equipment includes low-back front seats, an AM radio, a heater, and Plymouth script floor mats.
A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, voltage, and oil pressure. A trio of aftermarket gauges are located under the dashboard, and an aftermarket tachometer is mounted on the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows just under 68k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The replacement Mopar 440ci V8 was fitted in place of the factory 383ci V8 during previous ownership. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Torqueflite A-727 three-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer states that the ignition module was recently replaced, and additional equipment is said to include the following:
- Edelbrock Performer 440 intake manifold
- Edelbrock Performer aluminum cylinder heads
- Holley Street Avenger 770-cfm carburetor with electric choke
- Mopar camshaft
- Transmission cooler
- TCI Automotive torque converter
- TCI Automotive aluminum transmission pan
- Mopar Performance valve covers
- Wizard Cooling radiator
- Battery relocation kit
