1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop

A 1968 Pontiac GTO Hardtop was chosen as this week’s highlighted DEAL of the DAY in the Cars On Line newsletter. The GTO is for sale by a private seller from Franklin, Wisconsin. (Follow this link to view the ad on the Cars On Line website.) It has design features which look similar to a Royal Bobcat treatment. This is not an original GTO. In fact, the seller says it comes with a Hurst Indy shifter, 355 posi rear axle and a Muncie 4-speed transmission. The engine is a 400 ci rebuild procuding 335 horsepower, has an Edelbrock aluminum intake, 750 cfm carburetor and more. The flared rear fenders give it a distinctive look. The seller says it has a solid body, trunk and floors. Of course, it comes with dual exhaust and hideaway headlights. It will be our DEAL of the DAY on Saturday because the asking price is only $19,900. That’s a lotta’ car for the price.

The private seller from Franklin, Wisconsin said:

“This is a 400 ci-335 hp rebuilt engine with approximately 500 miles as of February 2017. Hurst Indy shifter, 355 posi rear axle, Muncie 4 speed transmission, Edelbrock aluminum intake, 750 CFM carburetor. Flared rear quarters with solid body, trunk and floors. Dual exhaust, hideaway headlights. 14in front wheels with P215/70R14 tires, 15in rear wheels with P295/50R15 tires. Excellent interior with black bench seats, factory A/C, mechanical temp, volt, oil pressure gauges, power steering. This is a great looking, very clean car that runs and handles great, making it really fun to drive.”
